Here is what you can expect when you join us for a worship service…

Service Times

Sunday 10:45 am & 6:00 pm/Thursday 7:00 pm

Kids

Nursery and kids services are available at each of our Sunday services. Everyone serving in our nursery or kids ministry has been carefully screened, trained, and completed a background check. We take the safety of our kids as a high priority. Environments are fun and energetic, with biblical truths shared in creative ways. Please note that 1st-5th grade students remain in the sanctuary on 5th Sundays.

Adult Worship Service

After dropping off your children, make your way to the sanctuary. Ushers are available to answer any basic questions you may have. You will notice a pretty easy-going environment where people are dressed ranging from casual to business attire. If you arrive early, you will have no problem getting a seat of your choice. If you arrive after service has started and the sanctuary looks full, don’t worry…our ushers will be glad to help you find an open spot.

Worship Style

Music is an important element within each service. We have a  number of talented musicians and vocalists who prepare each week to open our services with worship. We sing newer songs with a few old hymns with modern arrangements, adding new life to some of the best songs from the past. Without a doubt, the quality and depth of our worship is a defining aspect of Benson Church of God. Following worship, a member of our staff will welcome everyone, share announcements, and provide an opportunity to worship through giving. We will also ask all first-time guests to complete a Connect card (located in the pew pockets) and drop it off following service in the main lobby.

Preaching

The sermon each week is designed to take the deep truths of the Bible and explain their relevance to today. Most of our series & sermons are topically based and generally last 45 minutes.

End of Service

Frequently we end our services by providing a time for people to respond to the preaching of the Word through an altar invitation. Pastoral staff and prayer counselors take the time to pray with and minister to those who come forward for prayer. At the conclusion of this prayer time, service is dismissed and people may fellowship with one another. We invite all first-time guests to stop by the VIP table in the main lobby to leave their completed Connect card and receive a gift we have for them.
